Bachelors final thesis at The Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) by Vinicius Gris, comparing KATAM solutions to traditional fixed area sampling averages. Findings showed no statistical differences between the methodologies when measuring DBH and basal area.

This test was executed by SLU (i.e., The department of Southern Swedish Forest Sciences) and Linnéuniversitetet measuring accuracy at long-term test stands in Sweden showing a good agreement between estimated and measured arithmetic mean diameter of individual trees.
