FMV (The Swedish Defense Material Administration), a governmental agency acting under the Ministry of Defense, contacted Katam with a request to run a pilot study on how our technology can be used in military use. 

FM (Swedish Armed Forces) and FMV are building up a Military Innovation Program that will capture civil engineering development and further develop it for military technical applications. Among other things, one looks at how to use calls made by civil authorities and refined them. An example of this is Katam’s Vinnova project “Drone measurement for the intelligent forest” which builds on the technology behind “KATAM Forest”. FMV has, through Military Innovation Program, recently commissioned a development work by Katam to further drive the technology but now in military technology applications.

The eight months pilot takes place during 2019.
